How the calculation works

Sheets = ((perimeter × height) + ceiling − openings) × waste ÷ sheet area.

Example

A 12×12 room with an 8-foot ceiling, 45 ft² of openings, and 10% waste needs 17 sheets of 4×8 drywall.

Use it for room takeoffs; tall walls, offcuts, and orientation can change actual yield.
